The Department of Chemical & Process Engineering is seeking candidates with expertise in one of the following areas:
- including Process Simulation and Control; Computational Fluid Dynamics; Machine Learning and Big Data; Process Analytical Technologies
- including Catalysis; Reaction Engineering; Energy Storage.
Depending on the skills and experience of the applicant, this may be a cross disciplinary joint appointment, e.g. with the department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, or Computer and Information Sciences.
The successful candidate will provide leadership for growing our research capacity and broadening of our industrial interactions, complementing our current research portfolio in alignment with our strategic research themes. They will also play a lead role in developing our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including our Online Learning portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both research and education with technological impact, providing leadership within the University of Strathclyde and externally, working collaboratively internally and external with academic and industrial partners, and have strong ambitions to lead strategic initiatives in the Department, Faculty and University.
