The Sustainability Operations Manager is responsible for advancing sustainability practice and performance across the University and its core operations. In 2018 we completed a major estates development programme and we are now planning the next phase of sustainability improvements to our estate and infrastructure in Cheltenham and Gloucester. To lead us in this process we are looking for someone who thrives on creating innovation and finding solutions that demonstrate good long-term business decision-making for sustainability.

We are keen to explore new frontiers around ‘smart campus’ solutions for sustainability, identifying best practice and developing creative approaches through collaboration with internal stakeholders. You will be an experienced environmental manager, able to manage and improve our ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System, report on key sustainability metrics to track progress and advise on sustainability improvements across our professional services functions.
You will combine excellent technical insight and practical sustainability knowledge with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead change, engage colleagues and influence thinking across the organization at all levels. You will be joining a small and dynamic team that works closely with staff, students and partners across all areas of the University to achieve strategic objectives.
