Plumber and General Maintenance

Hours: Full time – 39 hours per week plus emergency call out for evenings and weekends on a rota

Salary: Equivalent to Brasenose College salary scale Grade 5 £28,488- £33,966 per annum depending on experience, plus call out and standby pay.

Here at Brasenose College we have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly College Maintenance Team, we are looking to appoint a qualified Plumber. The job holder will also have the skills to undertake minor building tasks and general maintenance.

The team are responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a range of College owned properties. They work on projects and planned work and also respond to emergency maintenance issues and call-outs providing cover all year round through an evening and weekend rota.

This is a full time, permanent post working 39 hours per week, 8am – 5pm Monday – Thursday and 8am – 4pm on Friday, with an unpaid hour for lunch. There is a requirement to join the standby and call-out rota, to work evenings and weekends, which is paid.

The appointment, which is pensionable, will be made on the College salary scale, Grade 5 - £28,488- £33,966 per annum depending on experience, plus generous staff benefits. The job description and further particulars including staff benefits can be found here.
