The Leicester School of Art sits within the School of Art, Design and Architecture and the Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities at De Montfort University. Consisting of three distinct but inter-related areas - Photography and Video, Fine Art and Foundation in Art and Design, the Leicester School of Art is well equipped to foster dynamic cross-disciplinary dialogue and practice.
The Photography and Video Subject Area is currently undergoing an exciting period of change and growth. It is developing its existing collaborations within the School of Art, as well as with its formal collaborations with the Fashion, Dance and Media subject areas. The core BA Hons. Photography and Video course is about to be re-written along with the MA Photography as we continue to support and nurture the next generation of critical and skilful arts practitioners. You will be expected to contribute to the future and ongoing development of the subject area and its constituent programmes, and you will have access to a range of training opportunities relevant to your on-going professional development.
We are looking for a dedicated, experienced and ambitious Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to help us to devise and deliver the new programme. You will have skills to teach across a range of modules, but you will have particular specialism in photography. You will be a key member of staff within the subject area, and be able to provide excellent teaching to our students, whilst also contributing to leadership, research and enterprise activity.
