A fixed-term postdoctoral research position is available for an outstanding and ambitious individual in the group of Dr Adam Kirrander (University of Edinburgh) in a collaborative project with Prof. Martin Paterson (Heriot-Watt University). The successful candidate will be required to develop new highly accurate simulation methods for photochemical reactions, develop and benchmark the theory, algorithms, and software required, and develop new tools to predict, interpret, and analyse state-of-the-art ultrafast experiments, notably ultrafast X-ray scattering experiments performed at X-ray Free-Electron Lasers, and to contribute more generally to the work in the Kirrander and Paterson groups.
This is a full time, fixed term (36 months) position.
