The Post

Working as part of the HR Systems & Data Team, this role will be responsible for maintaining systems, providing support for development and enhancements to our systems, assisting system users and collating staff data and producing reports.

Educated to HNC level, or with equivalent experience, you will have an enthusiasm for systems and technology, and be confident in working with various forms of complex data, with a keen eye for detail. You will have an understanding of how key management information can be vital to effective service delivery and performance, and be committed to ensuring the effective use and development of technology to achieve organisational goals.

Description of Duties

  • To provide ‘helpdesk’ support to users of HR’s various systems responding to electronic, telephone and face to face enquiries
  • To work comfortably with numerous forms of data, preparing reports and responding to queries, and supporting colleagues to produce routine types of information
  • To collaborate with HR colleagues to continuously improve and develop HR work processes
  • To perform regular system administration and housekeeping activities to ensure the integrity of data
  • Ongoing maintenance of the HR/Payroll system to ensure accurate salary payments

Essential Criteria

  • Educated to HNC standard or equivalent (preferably in an HR or IT discipline)
  • Experience of producing and presenting data in various forms
  • Experience of utilising a range of HR or IT systems to an advanced level, including knowledge of activities such as system security, data cleansing, system auditing and control procedures
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of providing end user support and troubleshooting issues to find solutions
