About University of Electronic Science and Technology of China 

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. UESTC was included as one of the first universities into "Project 211" in 1997, and then the nation's “Project 985” in 2001. In 2017, UESTC was included in Category A of the “World-class University” project. After more than sixty years of development, UESTC now has evolved into a key multidisciplinary university covering all-around programs in electronic disciplines with electronic science and technology as its nucleus, engineering as its major field and a harmonious integration of science, engineering, management, liberal arts and medical science. 

School of Mathematical Sciences 

The School of Mathematical Sciences of UESTC has the right to grant doctorate degrees in mathematics (covering all second-level disciplines), and also owns post-doctoral mobile stations and other advantageous discipline resources. It’s first-level discipline of mathematics is the key first-level discipline in Sichuan Province. There are many professional research centers have been built with its development, including the Academician Workstation of Mathematics, the State Key Laboratory of Science and Engineering Computing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences-University -- Joint Research Center of UESTC, the Mathematics and Intelligent System Laboratory, the School-level Applied Mathematics Characteristic Research Center, the MEM & MDS High-performance Computing Sharing Platform, Computing Science Institute, Image and Visual Computing Research Center, Complex System and Control Research Center, Statistical Science Research Center, Intelligent Information Processing and Big Data Research Center, etc. These centers have provided it a good platform to carry out world-class scientific research. 

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • Possess a PHD degree granted by prestigious overseas universities 
  • Be able to work full time in China.  

Preferential Policies and Treatments 

  • Annual salary: from RMB 200,000 to 300,000 
  • Settling-in and housing subsidies: from RMB 20,000 to 350,000, and transitional apartment for up to 1 year 
  • Research funding from  RMB 50,000 to 200,000  

Application 

  • Personal Curriculum Vitae with the list of academic achievements and representative achievements over the last five years 
  • A photocopy of the PHD degree certificate, and the current professional and technical position/rank certificate, and award certificate, etc. 
  • Three recommendation letters from professors of the subject (at least two of them are NOT from UESTC) 
  • Valid all the year round
