We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and driven individual to join the University of Sheffield as Senior Admissions Officer (Undergraduate), overseeing undergraduate admissions administration with a focus on the applicant experience as a guiding principle.  The role will include providing specialist advice and support to develop and improve compliant and business enabling admissions processes, operationalising key projects and systems development and representing the Admissions Service to external and internal groups.

In addition to the above, you will work closely with the Admissions Manager (Undergraduate) and Admissions Officer (Undergraduate) to plan and organise the University’s Confirmation, Adjustment and Clearing operations.  This will involve responsibility for the production of procedural information and the development of effective training for staff,

The role will oversee the delivery of a high quality applicant centric service and monitor undergraduate admissions procedures to ensure the continued delivery of fair, consistent and efficient admissions. Alongside responsibilities surrounding undergraduate admissions you will also work closely with your counterparts in postgraduate admissions, alternative routes & programmes and compliance to ensure a joined up approach to delivery of our services.

The Senior Admissions Officer (Undergraduate) role sits within the dedicated and enthusiastic team of Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions. (SRMA). SRMA is organised into seven functional areas: Admissions Service, UK Student Recruitment, Widening Participation, Communications, Insight, Marketing and Faculty Liaison. Throughout the structure, members of the team engage proactively and positively in delivering an excellent customer experience which is fully aligned with the University’s Student Recruitment Strategy.
