The Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) is seeking to appoint a specialist in Finance to join the Accounting and Finance subject group. The subject group’s portfolio currently includes undergraduate programmes in Accounting & Finance, Financial Planning & Practice and Finance. Postgraduate programmes in Accounting & Finance, Investment Analysis, Corporate Governance and International Banking & Finance contribute significantly to the subject group’s profile. In addition to onsite delivery, many of the group’s programmes and modules are offered through franchise and other Education with Others arrangements in the UK and internationally.
A Master’s qualification in a relevant discipline is essential, whilst a PhD and relevant industry experience are welcome. Experience of module leadership, distance and blended learning and learning technologies is important. The successful candidate will have a track record of teaching in Higher Education in this subject area and experience of facilitating technology enhanced learning. This post requires excellent communication and organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to continually improving the student experience.
The Faculty of Business and Law is the largest in the University of Northampton with around 200 academic staff and 5600 students. Led by a Dean, Deputy Dean and Associate Dean, we offer a broad portfolio of programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. We also maintain a number of successful academic partnerships in the UK and internationally through which several of our programmes are delivered.
An ambitious plan to replace the majority of our existing programme portfolio over the next 2-4 years whilst developing programmes in new and innovative disciplines offers an exciting opportunity for individuals that share our ambitions to make a direct contribution to our continuing success.
