Kingston School of Art has an international reputation and cultivates a range of partnerships with industry, social enterprises and third sector. The purpose of this post is to work closely with academic colleagues in KSA in order to develop and deliver a strategy for stimulating growth in business engagement and Knowledge Exchange activities with a range of commercial, public and third sector partners and clients, as a means of increasing and diversifying income streams. Relevant activities can include contract research, consultancy, CPD, short courses and summer schools, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, generating income from Intellectual Property rights, and more; as well as enhancing KE partnerships and creating social value
The Business Engagement team is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic team member to help us grow Knowledge Exchange in KSA. Skilled in business development, the ideal candidate with bring outstanding communication and networking skills with a deep understanding of the opportunities for knowledge exchange in the cultural and creative sector. Confident in working with a broad range of individuals and organisations, you be comfortable representing KSA to different audiences and collaborators. Ideally with a background in university KE, you will be experienced in project-based working, including business case development and costing and pricing mechanisms.
Be a part of the team which ensures academic rigour and development
The Academic Services Directorate includes Academic Registry, Quality Assurance and Enhancement and the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre. Collectively the Directorate supports some of the University’s governance and decision-making committees, maintains academic regulations, develops and implements academic policies, oversees the quality and standards of academic provision and leads the development of education practices across the University.
In conjunction with faculties, the Directorate is responsible for timetabling all teaching across the University, ensuring the smooth-running of exams, provide guidance on the institution’s assessment and regulatory framework, deliver statutory returns and student management information, administer formal student academic appeals, manage and oversee the operation of quality assurance and enhancement activities, academic staff development, technology enhanced learning and enterprise education.

This is a fixed term part time position for 2 years with a starting salary of £35,691.20 (80% of £44,614 per annum).
