WBS is research-led, triple-accredited university-based business school with an outstanding portfolio of world-class programmes. We are continuing our search for talented academics to join our outstanding faculty.
You will undertake the full range of teaching-related activities, including seminar teaching, marking and lecturing. In addition, you will support the work of the department, and develop and enhance its teaching reputation, internally and externally. Having gained a PhD in a relevant discipline, you will have sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to provide learning support and supervise graduate student projects. Your teaching performance must be demonstrably excellent, creative and adaptable, and evidenced by your experience. Your teaching will be informed by your own discipline based scholarship, and may be informed by your own practice and research. You will also have gained some experience of successfully managing, motivating and inspiring a team of staff.
You will have will have proven abilities and achievements in university level teaching, and will be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to use delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students on undergraduate and postgraduate level, and have experience with teaching to Business students. You will have experience of designing and delivering modules and using innovative ‘cutting edge’ teaching, learning support and assessment methods.
You will have the potential to identify areas where current provision is in need of revision or improvement and contribute to the planning, design and development of modules. Your approach will challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical thinking.
