The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within the NDPH, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, such as cancer and heart disease. 

As Clinical Trial Monitor, you will conduct on-site monitoring visits to hospitals and medical facilities in the UK and assist with the remote monitoring of sites. You will work on the EMPA-KIDNEY and ORION-4 studies, providing on-site training and mentoring to nurses, observing participant visits to ensure compliance, producing feedback and written reports and participating with central remote monitoring activities. There will be opportunities to contribute to the on-going development of innovative monitoring methodology and to work on some of CTSU’s other studies. 

To be considered for the Clinical Trial Monitor post, you will have previous experience working in clinical trials and be a nurse with a current UK NMC registration or have a life sciences degree. An understanding of ICH-GCP and a proven aptitude for training are also essential for this role, as are excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others. Occasional travel within the UK will be required.

The post is full time (although part time considered) and fixed term for 2 years. The closing date for applications is noon on 5th November 2021.
