We are seeking to appoint to a new Postgraduate Research Equality Diversity and Inclusion, Wellbeing and Widening Participation Administrative Officer within the Faculty Postgraduate Research Student Experience Team. The role holder should have a background and enthusiasm for supporting Equality, Inclusivity and Diversity (EDI) and/or Wellbeing initiatives and understand the challenges faced by postgraduate students. This is a new role that will provide support to a range of stakeholders who are working to further the Faculty’s ambitions in relation to EDI and wellbeing for postgraduate research students. The successful role holder will be an effective communicator and have the ability to work well with a variety of stakeholders including postgraduate research students, their academic supervisors, and professional services within the Faculty and across the University.

As a key part of the role will be in supporting the PGR student Wellbeing Ambassador Scheme, the postholder needs to be able to quickly build rapport with others and deal with sensitive and confidential matters in a calm professional manner. A working knowledge and/or background in project management would be advantageous for the postholder as they will be required to manage a variety of projects across a range of areas (EDI/WP/Wellbeing) within the Faculty. The team currently has the option to work in a hybrid approach splitting their working week between campus and home.
