About the Role
The post holder will support the Head of Directorate Support in the operational management of Directorate Support within the Estates and Facilities Directorate. Directorate Support is responsible for the management and development of a range of functions to support the organisational effectiveness and development of a centralised service, on behalf of the Estates and Facilities Directorate (EAF).

The Directorate Support Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of administration to the Directorate and for ensuring that robust processes and monitoring systems are followed. The role holder would be responsible for coordinating the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across Estates and Facilities, ensuring that robust processes and monitoring systems are followed.

About You
Reporting to the Head of Directorate Support, the Directorate Support and Improvement Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of a centralised support service to the Estates and Facilities Directorate, as well as the management of the Directorate Support Administrators. The successful candidate would be responsible for overseeing areas such as recruitment, absence management, Learning and Development, mandatory training, discipline and welfare.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree Level or have equivalent experience, have strong staff management and motivational skills, including experience of line managing a team, and have experience of managing effective service delivery including a strong commitment to a customer-centred service culture, with a passion for providing excellent service, effective budget management and financial training to deliver cost reductions whilst improving service.

In addition you will need to have extensive experience in the use of Microsoft packages, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with excellent writing skills and be able to write clear and concise communications to different audiences.

The post is full-time, 35 hours per week, and is permanent. Starting salary will be in the range of £34,733 - £40,797 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
