The University for the Creative Arts is based on four campuses across Kent and Surrey and provides undergraduate and postgraduate qualification pathways and outstanding educative experiences in industry in a range of creative subjects. The Business School for the Creative Industries, established in 2019, is located on the Epsom Campus.
The School teaches home, EU and international student cohorts of around 1500 full time students across BA/BSc and MA/MSc programmes, with a strong focus on nurturing creativity, promoting inclusivity and diversity, and a strong focus on student experience.
The School employs around 30 full time academic staff, with many other part time lecturing staff providing industrial practice expertise.
The School has a unique and diverse portfolio of courses currently within three Programme Clusters, with our MBA taught alongside courses such as Fashion Branding and Communication and Luxury Business Management. Each Programme Cluster is managed by a Programme Director responsible for the overall student experience in a creative business area: Strategic Business and Management, Cultural Business and Management, Fashion and Luxury Business and Management, and Branding and Communications. All students, regardless of their course and cluster, have the opportunity to elect units and build their own degree pathways across the programmes.
The Business School for the Creative Industries is looking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Consumer Behaviour.
You will coordinate and manage teaching and learning activities related to the subject area at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. You will be required to contribute to the internationalisation strategy of the School with a focus on both home and international student experience.
You will preferably have a Master’s degree in an appropriate subject and/or industry expertise and have experience of teaching and supporting students including with online technologies. Collaborative and creative, with the ability to communicate supportively, clearly and appropriately with students from diverse backgrounds, you will play a key role in inspiring our students’ creativity, innovation and employability for the creative industries and you will also be ready contribute to the Business School’s research culture at the Epsom campus.
