Our innovative and applied research enriches the quality of our education, spanning a wide range of disciplines from food microbiology to sensory science, nutrition and food product development.

We are looking for a lecturer in food science or product development to teach two (or more) of the following areas:

  • Food technology
  • Food science
  • Food microbiology
  • Food chemistry
  • Food product development.
  • Food operations management
  • Food labelling and packaging
  • Sensory science
  • Nutrition

In addition to contemporary knowledge in food science, gained through research and/ or working in the sector, you will have:

  • A relevant postgraduate degree;
  • Experience of consultancy, project or knowledge transfer work or making direct contributions in food manufacture, processing, product development, R&D, quality or sensory testing.

Although higher education teaching experience would be an advantage, it isn't essential.
