Content Producer

Common Purpose - Brand, Communications and Product Team

Are you our next Content Producer, someone who can produce compelling and creative on-demand content to help students from all backgrounds to thrive in their futures?

Common Purpose Student Experiences is a not-for-profit organization which runs experiential leadership programmes for university students to ensure they develop the skills and capabilities for their future success – in their careers and as they look to drive social impact. We work with 100 leading universities and over 10,000 students every year through a portfolio of asynchronous courses and synchronous in-person and online programming; having scaled up from proof of concept to a highly successful, award winning standalone business.

We have big ambitions, as a purpose-led not-for-profit we are committed to ensuring as many students as possible can access our programming - inclusion and equity are at our core. We are aiming for 1 million students to have had access to our programming by 2030. To achieve this rapid scaling up of our social impact and business, we are investing heavily into a new digital, on-demand content arm of our student business – an EdTech with Purpose.

Working with our central Brand, Communications and Product Team and Student Experiences Team you will be responsible for the planning, creation, design, filming and editing of engaging learning content for university students. We are looking for someone experienced in the end-to-end production lifecycle, from pre to post, to join at day 1, create and shape the content strategy, develop proof of concept and then scale up to enable 1 million students to be successful in their futures.

  • Develop a portfolio of content including on-demand bite size content, longer pathways with associated micro-credentials as well as courses which could be credit bearing
  • Work with our Marketing team and company brand guidelines to ensure all content meets our brand and messaging standards

You will bring the following experience with you:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premier Pro (or similar)
  • Experience of photography, videography, post-production (including editing, titles, sound, grade), graphic design, and copy writing
  • Experience in digital content development and production with emphasis in directing and producing video content
  • Able to show learning content in understandable and meaningful ways relevant for a predominantly Gen Z university student audience
  • Experience of remote content production
  • Good time management and self-organization skills – with the flexibility to flex and pivot in a high growth and pace environment
  • Excellent written English, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of creative thinking in your content creation
  • Highly accurate with good attention to detail
  • A collaborative team-player, while also able to work well independently
  • A portfolio of work that supports your experience
  • Experience in an educational institution / EdTech sector would be advantageous
  • Must be willing to travel in the UK and internationally

What we offer in return

  • A competitive salary of between £30,000 - £33,000 per annum dependent on experience
  • 25 days of annual leave per annum
  • Fast-paced environment – which will continue to test and develop you
