About the Role
As part of ongoing recruitment to the Games Development Department we are looking to recruit a lecturer or senior lecturer in Games Development. Successful applicants will have a background in either Games Programming, Art, Production or Design. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic new colleagues to join our dynamic, future-focused, and rapidly expanding subject community.

In addition to developing and delivering outstanding teaching and learning you will have the opportunity to contribute towards our ambitious research and enterprise strategy. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with research experience in the development of Serious Games, and non-entertainment applications of Games. The department is highly interdisciplinary in nature, and a great place to develop a distinctive academic portfolio.
You will contribute to engagement with the community, including schools, colleges. The institution works closely with the local community and has strong portfolio of civic engagement. You will also be expected to support and help us innovate our ongoing recruitment activities.
As a member of academic staff, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a bustling campus with access to a range of sector leading technologies. Our sector leading resources include over 500 games development workstations, 200 Wacoms tablets, and a range of cameras, motion capture equipment, and cutting-edge virtual reality systems. We are also the home of the UK’s Epic Games Centre.
The department is part of the wider School of Digital, Technologies and Arts. The school is a highly interdisciplinary environment, bringing together areas as diverse as fine art, fashion, computing, engineering, media, theatre and various aspects of games production.
