Leicester Castle Business School within the Faculty of Business and Law has a mission to deliver world class teaching and development to learners from a wide range of backgrounds, including post-experience learners and graduates from other disciplines. This role is based in the area of Apprenticeships and Executive Education and reports to the Director of Apprenticeships. The purpose of this unit is to create and deliver corporate programmes and apprenticeships for local and national organizations.
Role
We are looking for a 0.5 FTE Senior Lecturer in the area of Marketing to join our apprenticeships team. They will be a subject expert across a small portfolio of marketing modules and will work with colleagues to deliver a range of executive and apprenticeship education. At present this incudes aspects of marketing on the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) and input on the Senior Leaders Apprenticeship (SLA) programmes. Other duties will include supervision of projects, setting and marking assessments and contributing to personal tutoring. This role will require a DBS- level of check to be determined. The salary shown is based on 1.0 FTE and will be pro rata to 0.5 FTE.
Ideal Candidate
You will have recent experience in teaching marketing at QCF levels 4-7 and a good awareness of the subject area in general. You will hold a higher education qualification (degree or above) in a related discipline and/or have significant relevant industry experience. You will be able to demonstrate excellent teaching skills to a corporate audience and good communication to a range of university stakeholders.
