This is a full time, fixed term post, for 10 months Maternity Leave Cover.
Oxford Brookes Careers is offering the opportunity to join our team of Careers Consultants on a fixed term basis providing maternity leave cover. We are looking for a creative individual to provide careers education, information, advice and guidance to current students and alumni to enable them to make informed choices. The Service, supports all year groups undergraduate, postgraduate and researchers working closely with academic departments and employers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing one to one, group and e-guidance to students and graduates;
- Designing and delivering careers education both in person and virtually across all disciplines and at all levels;
- Building strategic relationships with academic staff, employers and other professionals in order to deliver the best possible employability support;
- Leading on the development of initiatives and careers education resources to ensure our students reach their full potential, addressing under-represented groups in the graduate labour market and supporting social mobility.
The following skills and experience are required:
- A recognised careers qualification i.e. DipCG/QCG/QCF Level 6 in careers advice and guidance is essential;
- Experience in developing and delivering careers guidance and education in an HE setting;
- Demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion;
- Up to date knowledge of the labour market and graduate employability;
- Enthusiasm, curiosity, objectivity and the ability to switch tasks frequently.
