IOE is UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society. With more than 900 academic staff, 8,000 students, 190 research collaborations and cross-sector partnerships spanning five continents, our seven departments work across education, culture, psychology and social science to improve lives. This is an exciting opportunity for an appropriately experienced individual to become part of the broad Education team, contributing across a number of programmes, including the MA Education and the Secondary Teacher Education Programme. MA Education is a thriving programme which regularly recruits large cohorts of home and international students. We aim to support students to articulate, explain and justify their own position within the complex and diverse field of education.
The Secondary Teacher Education Programme is offered in partnership with the Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS). It is a two year programme leading to an MA in Education (Muslim Societies and Civilisations) and a Post-Graduate Diploma (PG Dip) in Teaching and Reflective Practice. We are keen to hear from applicants who meet the selection criteria and who are motivated by the prospect of supporting students on the programme. In this post you will teach, supervise and, where relevant, lead courses offered by IOE. Contributing to the development of programmes in Education, you will contribute to quality improvement within the developing frameworks of the Institute and the respective national agencies. In addition, you will undertake rigorous research and other original work in education, and publish high quality research outputs of national and international significance.
This post is available from 1st September 2022.
You will have a Masters degree in an area relevant to Education, with Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent. In addition you will have teaching experience in schools and at higher education level.
Applicants should apply online. To access further details about the position and how to apply please click on the ‘Apply’ button above.
