About the role

As a Teaching Fellow in International Business within the School of Business, you will join a community of interdisciplinary scholars. You will undertake seminar, tutorial and workshop teaching and other activities to support the work of the School, aiding in its development and enhancing both its internal and external reputation. Using a variety of methods, you will undertake teaching, pastoral care, and marking and assessment, ensuring our students receive the best experience possible.

In this role you will contribute to the School’s undergraduate, postgraduate and distance learning curriculum. The role will involve the design, development and delivery of a range of modules in the following areas: International Business, Entrepreneurship, International Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Strategic Management, and Innovation, as well as general international business programmes.

About you

You will be an enthusiastic, collegial individual who is motivated by providing the best experience for our students. You will have, or be close to completing a PhD in a relevant area of International Business and Management. You will have experience of teaching one or more of the following subject areas: International Business, Entrepreneurship, International Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Strategic Management, and Innovation, and be capable of delivering teaching across a range of general management and international management subject areas.

You will have the ability to develop relevant, high quality course materials in a timely fashion. with recent experience of designing and delivering international business, marketing and entrepreneurship modules aimed at specialist postgraduate and undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. In addition, you will have recent experience of delivering assessment and feedback and be able demonstrate an understanding and commitment to delivering excellent student experience and working to deadlines.

You will be able to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to a range of international business, innovation and management topics with an understanding of the needs of a diverse student cohort, and will be able to engage with relevant theory and practice in these areas. You will be committed to working in a team and supporting module leaders and other members of the department and school.
