About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring manager to provide leadership in academic quality assurance and standards for our expert and engaged team and for the wider University.
As the Head of Academic Quality and Standards, you will lead programmes of strategic and cyclical improvement in policy areas such as:
You will lead planning and activity that enacts change and enables institutional priorities. You will build a consultative and collaborative service that is responsive to the needs of academic and administrative colleagues, and other professional services.

You will be committed to working both collaboratively and with significant independent responsibility to lead and develop this key education service.
You will have an up to date understanding of emerging and important issues in academic quality assurance and standards across the sector. You will need to have proven experience in delivering complex policy and change projects and cyclical activity.

There will be significant opportunity to build on your expert knowledge and effective service delivery, and to extend your internal and external networks.
The team are currently following a hybrid working pattern that requires a minimum of one day a week on campus (currently Wednesdays), with flexible on-campus availability as needed depending on activities each week.
