You will oversee the organisation of WCH departmental facilities to maintain operational functionality for the required research activities. The successful candidate will provide an efficient technical service to the multidisciplinary research teams so must be adept at building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The role holder will predominantly work at one of the WCH sites, however may also be required to work at the second WCH site or central campus according to operational or research requirements. Therefore, the candidate must be prepared to travel between sites, be adaptable, flexible and able to prioritize workload in a fast-paced changing environment.
You will also be expected to assist with training of students, supervise the junior technicians in their daily activities and occasionally participate in research activities. A broad range of skills will be required (refer to the criteria table below) which will be utilised with development of the junior technical team and employed in the above support activities however there will also be opportunities to acquire new skills so we are looking for a highly motivated individual with a ‘hands on’ approach and a desire to learn.
