We are seeking an enthusiastic team worker to join the Teaching, Learning & Assessment Office within the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, based at Sutton Bonington.
The Disability Liaison Officer will be a key member of the Veterinary School administration team. The purpose of the role is to lead, review and co-ordinate for the Vet School the provision of teaching and assessment student support plans, providing confidential guidance and advice to both staff and students. The role holder will ensure provisions for disabled students are in place across all year groups and cohorts. Also ensuring that key decisions are recorded appropriately.
The post will require flexibility, dynamism, energy and initiative, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and good communication skills. The candidate will be required to be thorough and meticulous in their approach to tasks in order to deliver a high quality professional service to students and staff. Excellent IT skills, including the range of Microsoft applications and internet applications are a requirement and experience of a virtual learning environment would be advantageous.
The post is offered on a permanent, part time (29 hours per week) contract.
