The successful applicant will be based within Management & Organisation Studies subject area group within the People Management and Organisations Division at Alliance Manchester Business School. They will contribute to the group’s research and teaching (which covers UG, PG and executive course units across management and organisational analysis, development and change).
Management & Organisation Studies (MOS) group includes academics with diverse research and teaching interests including organisation studies, business ethics, financialisation and responsible management. The ambition of the group is to build on the legacy of Grigor McClelland in shaping the way that a business school can contribute to developing the transformative potential of management and organisations to address contemporary challenges such as climate change and social justice. AMBS has a strong tradition of leading edge thought around the social responsibility of management and organisations and the importance of academic engagement. The group also has close teaching and research relations with other groups in the PMO division and across the School, including the Work and Equalities Institute and the Institute for Health Policy and Organisation.
The advertised role is for a Teaching and Research - Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join the group. This role entails a 60:40 split in time, whereby 60% of the successful candidate’s workload would focus on teaching, supervision and leadership activities, with the remaining 40% open for personal development and research.
