Faculty / Directorate
The Research Services Directorate provides specialist support to the DMU research community, supporting the delivery of ambitious research objectives as the institution broadens and deepens its research portfolio.
Role
This is a key role in the university, leading, developing and managing the professional and academic development portfolio for researchers at DMU, from research students through to senior researchers and principal investigators. The Researcher Development Manager also lead on the University’s compliance on relevant charter activities (e.g. the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers), run and report on key researcher surveys, and support the development of bids for studentships and fellowships. The role will be critical to enriching the research environment at DMU.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a proven track record in researcher development, with an excellent understanding of researcher development needs and able to design attractive and fit-for-purpose development programmes by career stage, highly numerate and adept at analyzing and interpreting data for a range of different audiences, and able to develop excellent and effective working relationships with colleagues across the University.
