We are looking for a Supported Internship Work Placement Co-ordinator whose role would to be source a range of high quality work placements specifically tailored for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The Placement Co-ordinator will liaise with employers to develop a suitable job role, incorporating the skill-set and the future ambitions of the student. You will:-

  • work with the a number of Job Coaches to develop a task analysis of the intern’s role and provide on-the-job training to support the development of appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours.
  • identify students’ barriers to employment and assist students to overcome these barriers.
  • work with our Tutors to develop appropriate resources to support the intern to work independently on tasks.

Success will be measured by how many students attain full time or part time work at the end of the programme.
