The Department of Student & Academic Administration (DSAA) is one of the largest central services at the University and is core to its success. The Department is responsible for a diverse and wide-ranging set of critical administrative responsibilities and services across the institution, and these include: student and course management systems, timetabling, admissions, student and programme administration, academic administration, graduation, external returns and data standards, UKVI student compliance, academic standards, quality management, and partnerships.
DSAA is seeking an outstanding candidate to work in the External Returns and Data Standards team responsible for delivering annually various statutory returns to the Office for Students, HESA, and the Education and Skills Funding Agency. The post requires excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships within both academic departments and other professional/support services.
The post demands excellent IT and data management skills as it requires extensive use of the student system SITS Client as well as spreadsheets and word processing. We are looking for people who are self-motivated, methodical and able to deliver to dead-lines.
The successful candidate will have a high degree of professionalism, good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. They will have a high level of attention to detail and proven experience of working in data management.
The role of Senior Administrator (External Returns) will be demanding, and may need to work outside of normal working hours when submissions are due.
