Who we are
Now rated a top three modern University in London, we provide an engaging portfolio of apprenticeships, short courses, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. We also have an excellent research profile and were jointly recognised as the best modern university in the country for research, and the highest-ranked modern university in London in REF2021.
The Role
The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Project Officer to join our Planning and Strategic Projects team. This is an exciting time to join the team and wider Planning & Strategic Projects Directorate as we deliver a range of strategic initiatives and institutional priorities that support the University’s long-term goals.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The postholder will coordinate stakeholders, support the delivery of strategic and executive projects across the University, and contribute to effective planning, documentation, and reporting. As part of the Strategic Projects Team within the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, you will work closely with colleagues across academic and professional services departments to help deliver the University’s key initiatives.
Key responsibilities include supporting the delivery of strategic and operational projects, coordinating executive initiatives and events, undertaking data analysis and reporting, preparing high-quality briefings and presentations, and liaising with senior stakeholders, including members of the University Executive Board. The postholder will also provide project and administrative support to ensure that work is delivered to agreed timelines, standards, and outcomes.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting complex projects or initiatives, with excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills, and the ability to present information clearly and effectively. Experience in higher education or the public sector, particularly within project or policy environments, would be an advantage.
We are London’s Campus University, based on a beautiful 54-acre parkland campus close to the River Thames with excellent transport links and a short walk to Barnes train station (8 minutes to Clapham Junction, 20 minutes to Central London). This short video will give you a taste of life at our wonderful campus and its excellent facilities.
