About the role

The Department of Political Science/School of Public Policy at UCL is seeking to fill a fixed term maternity leave cover position, Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Politics of Economic Policy.The salary will be on the UCL Grade 7 scale, £38,308 - £46,155 (inclusive of London Allowance). This is a full-time fixed term appointment maternity cover/sabbatical cover/research leave cover commencing on 1st September 2023 to 31st Aug 2024. The Associate Lecturer (Teaching) will contribute to teaching lectures and seminars on two deliveries of the module POLS0081 Public Sector Economics in Term 1 and again in Term 2. About you

The successful candidate must have a PhD in political science, International Relations or related subject or current enrolment in a PhD programme in Political Science, International Relations or related subject. Enhanced by knowledge of relevant academic literature, clear communication skills, with a flexible approach independently and as part of a team are essential. Responding constructively, listening and supporting with compassion as well as anticipating issues to adjust processes where necessary will also be key to this position.
