WMG is one of the largest academic departments at the University of Warwick. Our Postgraduate Student Recruitment Team are looking for a results-driven, highly-organised recruitment officer with a good knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector, international experience, and the flexibility and desire to travel widely.
In this role, you will be communicating extensively with prospective students from all regions, interested in WMG’s suite of taught Masters’ courses. In addition, you will be responsible for managing your own recruitment strategy to maximise intake from specific primary territories. This will require an organised and flexible approach, with excellent planning skills, and a can-do, customer focused attitude.
The post-holder will be required to travel overseas approximately 8-10 weeks per year. International trips may include multiple countries on the same trip and can last up to 3 weeks, although they will typically be 1 or 2 weeks.
Experience of working in a Higher Education recruitment or marketing role is highly desirable, preferably within an international context or environment. We currently attract students from over 70 countries to the MSc programmes in WMG, so you will be using your skills to recruit prospective students from across the globe.
In return we will provide you with a great range of benefits which include an attractive pension scheme, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, some fantastic savings on a wide range of products and services, and excellent learning and development opportunities.
At WMG we are committed to supporting staff to achieve their potential. We currently hold the Athena SWAN Silver Award, and the University of Warwick holds an Institutional Silver Award: a national initiative that recognizes the advancement of gender equality, representation, progression and success for all in academia. We are supportive of staff with caring responsibilities including a generous maternity/paternity/adoption/parental leave policy, and onsite childcare facilities. We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
