University of the Arts London is seeking two motivated and experienced individuals to appoint to the positions of Weekend Library Assistants. We currently have 2 vacant weekend term-time only posts, including a Saturday Library Assistant and a Sunday Library Assistant, both based at the London College of Fashion.
In both roles you will contribute to the development and delivery of high quality and student-focused library services, which support the academic activities of the University and its constituent Colleges. You will be based at your home library, although you might occasionally be required to work at any of the other UAL libraries.
You will take part in front-line services and administrative duties including support for self-issue systems, IT and printing. You will assist users with directional and initial information enquiries, including the use of the library catalogue and electronic information resources.
You will take part in answering enquiries on-line, via our live chat service, ASK and you may also have to assist with shelving activities.
Other weekend roles may arise at other College libraries which shortlisted candidates may be considered for.
As this is a term time only post you do not get a leave allowance and you are expected to work all term time weekends.
