Lucy Cavendish College invites applications for a part time Programme Coordinator to support the Democratizing Education for Global Stewardship & Sustainability in Law & Governance Programme on a fixed term basis for one year.
The Programme Coordinator will undertake a range of tasks to support the programme, including management and support for the design, filming, editing and piloting of new online courses and the preparation of educational materials, seminars and events on sustainable development law and public policy governance, especially the global Sustainable Development Goals, as well as providing additional help with a range of team and volunteer supervision, outreach, training, dissemination, financial management and reporting tasks for the programme.
The successful candidate should have a good first degree in the Social Sciences, Law, Public Policy, Environment, Development Studies or a relevant discipline. A good masters-level or doctoral law degree or equivalent professional qualifications and experience is desirable. They should have excellent engagement, reporting and educational skills, experience and interest in development and piloting of online courses, a good understanding of the policy-making process, either from academic work or prior professional experience, and a strong interest in sustainable development law and policy. They should also have excellent management, supervision and organisational skills, be a proven self-starter, with an ability to work independently, and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing at an appropriate level, to write and film accessibly for diverse audiences, and to manage piloting, coordination and dissemination of courses and MOOC platforms, online and international events, learning opportunities, media engagement and networks.

The funding for this post is initially available for 1 year, and potentially renewable subject to availability of funding. Hours can be flexible to suit both you and the needs of the College and will be offered on a 50% FTE (18.75 hrs per week) basis.
