We wish to recruit a part-time (50%) Administration Coordinator to provide comprehensive and professional administrative support for the Centre for Healthcare Education Research & Innovation (CHERI) and to support the Director of the Centre, Dr Anita Laidlaw.

It is an interesting role with a diverse set of duties and is within a small but growing team of researchers, academic staff, NHS staff undertaking projects, medical and postgraduate students.  The post will be located in the Polwarth Building on the Foresterhill campus and for line management will be within the Institute of Education in Healthcare and Medical Sciences (IEHMS), one of the five institutes within the School.

The Centre was set up to provide a focus for all staff interested in academic excellence in healthcare education research.  It does this by supporting high-quality projects focusing on relevant issues and developing tomorrow’s researchers.  It has been active for just over five years and has had significant success in attracting national grants, supporting doctoral students and generating high quality research output.  The role also provides administrative support to the Scottish Medical Education Research Consortium (SMERC) which is currently hosted from the University of Aberdeen and directed by Professor Peter Johnston.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4,  £24,285 - £27,929 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
