We have a great opportunity for an experienced administrative manager to join our central Student Administration team. This team is key in managing and recording the student journey from enrolment through to completion of programme, maintaining accurate student records via SITS and data, undertaking and advising on key processes such as Extenuating Circumstances, suspensions and withdrawals and resolving complex queries from students and partner colleges. The successful candidate will advise on Regulations and support colleagues across the University to ensure processes and regulations are being adhered to. The successful candidate will manage a team of 5 and work closely with the Student Administration Manager and one other Student Administration Support Manager to ensure key deadlines are met, a high level of customer service provided and queries resolved effectively and efficiently. The post holder will work within the wider SPSA team to consider and implement enhancements to processes both within the Department and across the wider University.
The ability to work under pressure to deadlines with excellent organisational skills is key as is the ability to build effective working relationships and find creative solutions within the regulations. A high level of effective communication is essential as the role holder will communicate daily with students, colleagues and external stakeholders. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Excellent IT skills are required with experience of using complex databases and excel spreadsheets being desirable.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this position.
