The British Psychological Society is a registered charity and the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK.  We support and enhance the development and application of psychology for the greater public good. We set high standards for psychological research, education and knowledge.

The key responsibilities for this role are;

  • To oversee and deliver assessment and awards activity for the Society for qualification assessments, accreditation of existing competence (AEC), professional recognition routes (PRR) and assessment of new member grade.
  • Help plan, implement and improve assessment and awards activity for the Society for qualification assessment, AEC, PRRs and new member grade.
  • Oversee, deliver and measure the quality of the assessment processes to meet the standards for moderation activities, internal verification and external examiners to meet the requirements of external stakeholders such as the HCPC.

To be successful in this role you will require;

  • A sound knowledge and experience of assessment, for example end-point assessments, accreditation and/or qualifications
  • Experience of quality assurance and quality improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, experience of working with key stakeholders and building good relationships.
  • Supervision and management experience
  • Experience of using technology for assessment; virtual learning environments, Turnitin, data analysis
