Location: Blavatnik School of Government, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford
As part of the next stage of our recruitment strategy, the Blavatnik School of Government continues to build the capacity and capability of the HR team by recruiting an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager who can successfully and effectively manage multiple recruitment campaigns across multiple business areas: external relations, academic administration, IT, finance, development/fundraising. But what makes this role different from all the others currently on the market?
You will be joining a proactive and dynamic HR team of four (Head of HR, HR Officer, Senior HR Assistant, and HR Assistant) and, building on strong foundations, you will have the chance to shape the talent management function as the inaugural post holder. Alongside the Head of HR, you will develop an agile and responsive recruitment strategy for the next 24 months.
You won’t be subject to any KPIs or cost per hire. Your sole metric will be great quality candidates. You will need to be proactive in generating a targeted and diverse talent pipeline and ensuring a steady flow of quality candidates.
This is an autonomous role within an experienced HR team. You will also work with key teams across the School (such as AV and Comms) to promote employer brand and create compelling recruitment marketing content. Reporting into the Head of HR, you will be key in designing and delivering an effective strategy including reviewing our recruitment practices and improving/updating them where needed.
You need to be focused on getting the right people, in the right place, at the right time. You’ll be a great influencer and understand the importance of stakeholder management and setting clear and realistic expectations. Passionate about recruitment and delivering the best talent, you will be committed to providing an excellent candidate experience and most importantly work within a team that shares knowledge, collaborates conscientiously, and wants to create an impeccable experience for candidates and hiring managers.
What does this all add up to? You will be a senior and independent member of the HR team who is driving a new recruitment strategy. You will manage the recruitment budget and will have no line management responsibility. You will have the time, and will be empowered, to invest and engage with the very best talent.
We operate a hybrid working approach with an average of 40% time spent working remotely.
