We are seeking an experienced IT Networks and Telecoms Infrastructure Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, developing and maintaining the School's physical and logical network services, including our telecoms and network security infrastructure.
The role will manage a small team of four IT professionals, overseeing the design and maintenance of our physical and active network, telecoms and security infrastructures.
It will lead in implementing projects to develop the network and the services it integrates with, with particular project focus on the School's building refurbishment programme. You will work closely with other IT and non-IT stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and to develop and implement new technologies and solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, along with experience of IT network management, including telephony and structured wiring installations. You should also have a strong track record of successfully managing IT projects. Experience in higher education is preferred but not required.
The post is full time and permanent. The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 7 in the range £48,827 - £55,895 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
