We’re seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking Deputy Payments Manager with a consistent track record in leading and developing colleagues to support the Payments Manager and their team. The team comprises three sub-teams who support payments to vendors, staff and students among others. It offers an opportunity to create an impact across the University as well as within Finance.
This is an exciting role and it's a great time to join us! We have lots of technological and process changes planned that you will be a central part of. Communication with colleagues both within the teams and beyond, together with working with organisations external to the University, is a key aspect of the role.
We are a critical element of the University’s core business and you will be involved in all aspects of our long-term plan for continuity and future-proofing.
We are looking for candidates with solid experience of working with regulations, policies and processes, who have confidence in managing and manipulating data. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be confident in presenting sophisticated information to a range of audiences. As a member of a lively team, you should possess a high level of organisational skills with the ability to balance challenging workloads.
