The role
The Senior Executive Assistant will provide direct Executive Support to both the Head of School and School Manager as well as manage the day-to day operations of the School Admin Team.
What will you be doing?
- You will provide high-level, professional and proactive executive assistance to members of the Senior Leadership Team
- You will work closely with the Executive Administration Manager to ensure the smooth running of the School Admin team’s day-to-day operations including Reception and Post-mortem services
- You will line manage a team of professional service staff who provide support to the wider Senior Management Team and school operations- including but not limited to; recruitment activities, purchasing, events organisation and meeting servicing
You should apply if
- You are an experienced administrator with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - including O365
- You are able to manage your own workload, establish priorities and multi-task, use initiative to problem solve and work with little direct supervision
- You are a confident decision maker and the ability to line manage a team- ensuring team objectives and workloads are balanced and achievable
- You have a flexible approach to working as part of a busy team and comfortable with a fast-paced work environment
- You have excellent communication skills and are able to work with a wide and diverse range of people and able to negotiate solutions to problems with tact and sensitivity

Contract type: Fixed term for 12 months or earlier return of the post holder
Work pattern: Full time / 1FTE (part time considered)
Grade: H
Salary: £31,411 - £35,333 per annum
School/Unit: Bristol Veterinary School
Shift pattern: 35 hours per week/ part time considered
