The Faculty of Science and Health brings together six academic departments and schools that make diverse contributions to the University’s strategic mission as a globally competitive, research-intensive and student-focused institution.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Finance Business Partner with a strength in communicating complex financial information to a variety of Faculty stakeholders, reporting to the Faculty Accountant. You will work closely with colleagues across the faculty senior management team providing them with a high quality and professional financial support service. Your main responsibilities will include financial planning and forecasting, budgetary control and regular reporting
The successful candidate will have an accountancy qualification of fully AAT or considerable progress with a CCAB body. You will have substantial experience of working in a similar role and have excellent analytical and IT skills. You will also be a strong team player and have the ability to work effectively on your own initiative. The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, deadline driven, and possess the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. This is a part-time role which will be based at the university Colchester campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements and there is access to on-site childcare. Travel schemes are also available.
