Do you have substantial proven and recent experience of working in a busy office environment, with experience of working with finance? Are you able to deal with a wide range of people at all levels in a friendly and professional manner? 

If so, this full time fixed term role (to 31 July 2023) could be ideal. Note that internal staff may apply for this post on a secondment basis.  In this role you will work with and assist the Scholarships Manager and the Office’s Foreign Loans Officer in the administration and co-ordination of Scholarship, UK Research Council competitions and US Federal and Private Loans. 

What will you be doing, day to day?

  • Providing administrative support (including website updates) to the Office  
  • Acting as the first point of contact, providing advice and information to enquirers, in response to queries
  • Administering a range of financial processes within the Scholarships Office
  • Monitoring and recording all aspects of scholarships information

What are we looking for?

  • A good standard of education to at least A level, including GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent 
  • Substantial proven and recent experience working in a busy office environment
  • Experience of working with Word for Windows, Excel and Access; familiarity with and ability to operate databases; knowledge of web authoring
  • Experience of working as a member of a team and to tight deadlines
