We are seeking a full-time Programme Manager to join the Visual Geometry Group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The role is full-time (although 30 hours a week would be considered) and is based in Central Oxford. The post is fixed-term for three years.
As a Programme Manager you will assume responsibility for the administration of a variety of projects under the direction of Professor Zisserman and Professor Vedaldi. You will work with a variety of key stakeholders, external partners and other university staff. The focus of the role is on managing the operational activities linked to the research objectives of each programme as well as helping to develop and sustain future research programmes. You will need to navigate governance issues such as data protection and ethics, advise the team on intellectual property management, copyright, and conflicts of interest, and understand research funding arrangements. You will be responsible for the fiscal management including monitoring expenditure, preparing interim and final reports, and maintaining accurate and detailed plans and records. You will also be responsible for communication and events management.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent. You must have experience of administration or project management in a complex organisation. Proven financial aptitude with the ability to produce financial reports is essential, as are strong communication and relationship building skills.
