We are looking for an EDI Consultant with experience of providing expert advice and insight on equality, diversity and inclusion legislation, policy and practice to support the University to deliver its vision and goals, set out in our Inclusive Sussex strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Unit, whose work is currently arranged with each colleague taking forward a major workstream to build a shared approach to inclusion. This role will initially take on one of more of the following: our anti-racist programme of work, our first submission to the Advance HE Race Equality Charter, leading the implementation of a flagship project, Black At Sussex, or our programme of work on gender equality.
This post requires excellent communication and influencing skills, programme management, an analytical approach with the ability to work comfortably with data and evaluation tools and to work collaboratively and with autonomy. You should have up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice, with experience of successfully implementing EDI initiatives.
