Reporting to the Head of Trusted Research, this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of the research and knowledge exchange due diligence framework, with significant focus on international collaborations and the associated risks.

As part of the framework, the role holder will develop existing policies, procedures, repositories and databases to ensure consistent and effective management and oversight of our partnerships. This is a new role in the University’s Research and Innovation (R&I) Division which will help to complement our existing strengths. This is one of a number of roles where we are recruiting new expertise across R&I remit to support the ambitious growth plans of the University and our R&KE Strategic Delivery Plans R&I provides comprehensive support throughout the research and innovation lifecycle, from first ideas through to commercialisation and industry partnerships. The teams provide invaluable expert advice, RKE management infrastructure and support to delivery of the University’s research and knowledge exchange strategies.

A restructure of R&I, supported with significant investment by the university, has created this role and a number of new opportunities for you to join us in providing an expert framework to deliver increased research performance across the University. We aspire to bring together enthusiastic, dedicated people, who are motivated to drive a step change in research and knowledge exchange (KE) performance. This is an exciting time to join the Research & Innovation Division as we move to a new structure which will be agile; sustainable; facilitate business partnering with Faculties and other Professional Services; and improve the delivery of R&I’s core functions.

This is a permanent, full-time post of 36.25 hours per week. Arrangements for job share would be considered.
