We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Retail Catering Team primarily based at University Park. This role will provide administrative support to the Retail Catering Team and will deal with large amounts of staff and customer queries face to face, by email and by phone providing advice and guidance, solving problems where necessary and relaying relevant information.

The successful candidate will be required to administer and support colleagues with a range of IT systems which includes our procurement system, absence and time reporting system and till data system. You will also develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets liaising with internal departments as required. Other duties include general filing, typing, and archiving of information, preparing reports for Senior Managers and ensuring accurate up to date records are kept in line with University policies and procedures

Candidates should have relevant vocational qualifications NVQ Level 2 or equivalent with some relevant work experience or have substantial work experience gained within a clerical/administration role and have excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work. You should also have an in-depth knowledge of Office 365 in particular Microsoft Word, Access, SharePoint, Teams and Excel and have experience of handling confidential information.

This post will be offered on a fixed term contract until 12 January 2024. Hours of work are part time (20 hours per week), worked mainly Monday to Friday between 8.45am and 5.00pm. Flexibility will be required.

The successful candidate for this post will be expected to attend the Estates and Facilities training courses which run Monday to Friday mornings. Further details will be given at interview.
