Oxford Brookes University is looking to recruit an experienced, reliable and highly motivated Maintenance Handyperson (Buildings) as a member of the Estates Team to undertake planned, preventative and responsive maintenance across residential and academic buildings within the University Estate, working on both commercial and domestic buildings. Maintenance Handyperson (Buildings) play a proactive role within a motivated and innovative team, delivering key objectives to meet directorate and university wide requirements.

Working hours for a Maintenance Handyperson (Buildings)
This is a full time post which is 37 hours, typically Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm, but Oxford Brookes is supportive of flexible working, part time working and job sharing. Overall Purpose of the post of Maintenance Handyperson (Buildings):
To carry out planned, preventative and reactive building services across the University’s Estate, including maintenance of service records, maintenance schedules and Service Desk PPM's.
Qualifications and Experience for the post of Maintenance Handyperson (Buildings):

Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English or equivalent; City and Guilds or NVQ2 qualification in an appropriate trade or a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent qualification, or qualified through proven practical experience in a related discipline.
Experience: Previous experience of in mechanical, buildings or electrical services maintenance.
