We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering for a Research Associate who will work on materials for energy storage. Working with Professor Serena Cussen, you will contribute to the development of operando characterisation methods and synthesis of materials for next-generation batteries. This post has arisen due to Professor Cussen taking up the role of Head of Department, so there is also an opportunity for the post holder to help with managing a larger research team.
If you have a PhD in a relevant subject and specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of solid state chemistry and materials characterisation, then we would love to hear from you.

The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
