Brunel University London is seeking to recruit a Lecturer (Education) for its Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) Programme for Health Visiting, School Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing, based within the College of Health and Life Sciences. Building on our position as a leading provider of health education programmes, the University instigated a strategic plan for further expansion, to firmly establish the College as both a national and international centre of excellence. We seek individuals with the vision, commitment and academic ambition to contribute to the delivery of SCPHN education and the development of our new SCPHN curriculum, including prescribing programmes.
With modern, purpose-built teaching and research facilities set within a vibrant campus-based University, Brunel University London provides excellent opportunities to work with internationally recognised academics in other health related disciplines including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Physician Associate, Psychology, Biosciences, Medicine, Social Work.
The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of a high quality SCPHN programme, support future development in learning opportunities. They will also be required to support students in practice, visiting them in placement to facilitate the achievement of the SCPHN standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified SCPHN to develop a career in education and be part of an innovative and supportive team who focus on providing an excellent learning experience for our students.
The successful applicant will have a first degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area; a Masters in a relevant subject area, PhD or appropriate professional qualification in a relevant discipline would be desirable; be a registrant with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with a SCPHN specialist practice qualification and clinical experience.
An essential requirement is for the successful applicant to satisfy the requirements of an enhanced check by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
